Affiliate Program Definition

Affiliate Program – Also called Associate Program, Partner Program.
Most online dealers offer the possibility of putting an advertising banner on your site. When a visitor clicks on the banner and buys from the dealer you get a percent of the earnings. There are other programs that pay for every unique visitor you send them or for attracting other web-masters to advertise them.

How does the Affiliate program work?
When you register the affiliate program gives you a personal ID, by which they track the customers you bring to their site. You have your own web site and you get enough unique visitors per day, the visitors click on your affiliate banner (link) and you refer them to the affiliate site.

There are varieties of different banners you can put on your site, provided by the dealer. At that point you have earned a commission for PPC (Pay Per Click), and if the user buys a product form the dealer’s site you’ll receive a percent of the sale. The payment is usually at the end of the month whit a check or via Pay-pal, but some programs can pay you every two weeks.

Here is a simple sketch of how things go.
